NBC Connecticut is a network owned & operated station, and the big guns at 30 Rock have determined that Tracy Davis will be the station’s new VP of News. She succeeds former news director Janet Hundley who resigned three months ago.
For the past four years, Davis was assistant news director at Chicago NBC-owned station WMAQ.
NBCUniversal says Davis will also “liaison” with Telemundo New England and work with leadership on Connecticut coverage for Noticiero Nueva Inglaterra.
Before working at WMAQ in 2017, Davis was news director at WDJT in Milwaukee and WVNY in Colchester, Vt. before that. She started her career at WLFI in West Lafayette, Ind.
