With the possibility of the Tribune Publishing board approving the company’s sale to Alden Global Capital within the next two weeks, three Tribune shareholders have filed complaints with the Securities and Exchange Commission to block the sale.
It’s the latest news on the proposed transaction as time is running out for the lone, Baltimore based investor, looking to out bid Alden. Tribune owns the Hartford Courant.
