Tribune Publishing shareholders are expected to vote today on Alden Global Capital’s bid to buy the chain of newspapers, which includes the Hartford Courant.
Analysts say the outcome of the vote is uncertain, but Alden seems to have an edge going into the meeting. There have been concerns for months that an Alden purchase will lead to devastating cost cutting across Tribune properties.
