We’ve been of the belief for a while that Caroline Simmons would be a political star in the Connecticut universe, and on election night she proved it.
She also made history.
According to her campaign, the 35 year old is now the youngest mayor in America of a city of 100K or more, just beating out the mayor of Baltimore (who is 36) and the newly-elected Michelle Wu of Boston (36)
It appears she also will be the youngest female mayor in the nation’s history of a city of 100K or more.
And did we mention she accomplished this while pregnant?
