One month after being honored by the Connecticut Foundation for Open Government, PBS NewsHour lead anchor Judy Woodruff may be about to retire.
Variety reports the NewsHour has been planning for a peaceful transfer of power that will see Amna Nawaz and Geoff Bennett take over as anchors in early 2023, after this year’s mid-term elections.
Woodruff is 75 and has been anchoring the NewsHour solo since 2016 when her co-anchor Gwen Ifill died.
