Mike Melia of the AP with Sue Haigh
Respected and well-liked Associated Press state Capitol reporter Sue Haigh is celebrating 20 years with the news service.
She started covering the Capitol just before former Governor John Rowland took office in 1995. At that time she was with the Norwich Bulletin, which she joined in 1989 as a police and fire reporter. In 1998 She moved to The Day and covered the Capitol for that paper until 2002 when she moved to the AP.
Sue takes her job seriously, doesn’t have an agenda, or bring a big ego to her work. And did we mention she’s a nice person? We wish her many more years covering the action at 210 Capitol Avenue.
