NBC CT is the beneficiary of a decision by Roku to add local channels to its free line-up. In all, eight NBC owned stations will be available for streaming nationwide.

Things you should know…

MSNBC has named Alex Wagner as the new Tuesday-Friday host of the 9p.m. hour. She will anchor on the nights Rachel Maddow is doing – whatever it is Rachel does the rest of the week. Wagner has been with MSNBC before and is stepping into a role that Conan O’Brien is familiar with – that of the person who takes a job her predecessor might want back.

There is still a question about who will permanently fill the 9p.m. hour on CNN that was formerly held by Chris Cuomo. We’d like to suggest that CNN consider Shepard Smith who seems caged in at CNBC and does not currently have any siblings serving as governor.
