As we head toward the Thanksgiving weekend we have two stories from our wider region of New England. (Or as some might say, “the region we like to call; New England”).
The former editor in chief of National Geographic, Susan Goldberg, has been named president and chief executive of GBH in Boston. GBH is one of the biggest producers of national content for public media, including shows like; Antiques Roadshow and Frontline. She starts December 1.
Dateline: Maine. Long-time anchor Pat Callaghan is retiring after 43 years with WLBZ and WCSH in Portland. His last day will be December 9. You may remember Callaghan joined WCSH from New Hampshire public television in 1979.
