The trimming continues at CNN as Connecticut native Chris Licht – the network’s new president – pares personnel and programming down to deliver on the network’s core brand promise: News.
The latest victim of the cuts is actor Stanley Tucci, whose Bourdain inspired show “Searching for Italy” has been canceled after two seasons. Tucci is promising to continue producing the show and says he is looking for another platform.
This may be a case of doing your job so well there’s no longer a need for your position. Tucci found Italy in the first episode of the first season thereby challenging the premise of the show.
