Hundreds of unionized journalists working for Gannett plan to walk off the job today(Monday) in a move they hope will put pressure on shareholders to replace CEO Mike Reed.
It is not known how or if this will affect Gannett’s Connecticut paper; The Norwich Bulletin.
Gannett employees say the company has “hollowed out” newsrooms at its papers across the country reducing news coverage and hurting communities. The job action is for one day only.
