Once again the network known as “Fox News” is turning to a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford to host its 8p.m. hour.
Jesse Watters(Trinity ’01), who started his life at Fox doing obnoxious ambush interviews for the later disgraced Bill O’Reilly(WFSB), has been hosting the 7p.m. hour since the start of the year and co-hosting the ensemble gabfest known as “The Five.”
Watters will be filling the hour left vacant with the firing of Tucker Carlson(Trinity ’91) earlier this year. The Watters promotion is part of a prime time shakeup for Fox which appears to be doubling down on its fact challenged prime time schedule currently contributing in outsized ways to the polarization of American politics.
Laura Ingraham, a native of Glastonbury, will be moving to the 7p.m. hour, Sean Hannity will stay on at 9p.m. and Greg Gutfeld is moving to 10p.m.
