For decades the headquarters of The Day of New London has been as important a landmark in New London as city hall.
Now, High Tide Capital, a Maine based development company has signed an agreement to purchase the building for $1.9 million. The company says its plans for the property are in the early stages.
The Day announced last year that it was planning to sell, because it no longer needs the space. Its printing is now done in Providence. The Day is searching to lease new space in downtown New London.
