CT Public Media has secured a $3.1 million state grant to help fund its “public square project” at its headquarters building in Hartford.
As previously reported, CT Public is planning to renovate its HQ to enable more interaction with the community. The new facilities will include:
- 125 person capacity community meeting space
- 200-seat theater with convertible space
- Black box studio recording space
- Prep kitchen to support various programs
- Up to 20,000 sq ft. office rental space geared toward local nonprofit and small businesses
