News 12 CT’s Sunday interview program has a new host: Mark Sudol. He succeeds Eric Landskroner.

Mark (pictured here with Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas) started at the station 15 years ago as a sports guy. For the past 10 years he’s been reporting and anchoring.

His first job in the business was studio floor director at WFSB in 1988, eventually working as a sports producer for anchors Dave Smith and Mike Adams.

His first on-air job was reporter/anchor at KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri. Soon he was back in New England doing sports and news at WNNE in White River Junction, Vermont, then on to WPTZ in Plattsburgh, New York/Burlington Vermont.

Mark grew up in East Hampton, CT.  We knew it was the home of the late Connecticut Governor William A. O’Neill; we learned recently it was the birthplace of America’s oldest bell maker.

Congratulations, Mark.
