Former NBC Connecticut meteorologist Rob Marciano is making a comeback after being let go earlier this year by ABC News.

Marciano has been hired by CBS to help staff its growing weather team. Although details were never released, it was reported reliably at the time of his ABC departure, that Marciano had been accused of un-professional behavior described by some as “bullying.”

Rachel Rooney, a well-known and well-regarded member of the WFSB news team is leaving the station after 14 years. Posting on social media she said it was a “…difficult decision to make, but the right one.” And suggested a “great adventure” is heading her way.

Audacy, the owner of several radio stations in Connecticut and 200 nationwide, has completed a financial restructuring that will allow it to emerge from bankruptcy. The plan was approved along partisan lines by the FCC, but is being criticized by Republican members of Congress, because of the involvement of the Soros Fund, which is controlled by billionaire George Soros, a favorite enemy of the political right.

The last surviving member of the cast of the Mary Tyler Moore Show, John Amos is dead at the age of 84. He died in late August. His family announced his death Monday. Amos played WJM weatherman Gordy Howard. His acting credits include the television mini-series Roots and the sitcom Good Times.
