If you’re a full-time employee of the Hartford Courant the days of the free subscription to the newspaper are officially gone. The print edition can now be purchased at a discounted rate. However, if you work for sister station Fox61, it’s probably sounding like a pretty good deal that Tribune is now offering you that same discount price. From a memo to employees of the Hartford Courant and its subsidiaries:
This change is being made as Tribune consolidates benefits among all properties (we are the only property within Tribune that currently offers free subscriptions to employees). So, please consider supporting our business by taking advantage of home delivery.
(Editor’s note: as our friends at the Courant Alumni site point out, the discounts aren’t exactly discounts…)
Not really a discount. http://www.courantalumni.org/2009/11/13/plus-you-get-to-keep-your-job/
