In case you missed it, Eric Lipton, a former Hartford Courant reporter who has been with the New York Times since 1999, was among a group of Times reporters behind a major story about the state of the U.S. Secret Service.
Earlier this week, he appeared on the Times’ podcast The Daily, to discuss the findings which strongly suggest the Secret Service is under-staffed, under-funded, and largely ignored inside a Department of Homeland Security that is more focused on the Mexican border than anything else in its portfolio.
