The Associated Press is going through layoffs at bureaus nationwide. Here in Connecticut the only casualty is state news editor Patrick Sanders. His position has been eliminated and his Boston counterpart, Karen Testa, will now oversee the Hartford bureau.

Sad commentary when we lose a state editor and we call that being spared.
Good thing you can oversee (or at least see) Hartford from Boston.
