Nice story by MaryEllen Fillo in the Hartford Courant today marking Al Terzi’s 50 years in broadcasting. Al has logged years at WFSB, WTNH, and then went back to WFSB.
The biggest changes in the industry? “The technology,” said Terzi, a pilot and Air Force veteran, recalling his “rip and read” days when he took news right off the teletype. “And my hair,” joked Terzi, who started his career as a brunet (see inset) but now sports a whiter-than-white ‘do.
Any thought of retirement? “I think about it,” said Terzi, who shares daily anchor duties with Kara Sundlun at noon and Denise D’Ascenzo at 5 p.m. “But I don’t plan to do it.”
