Okay, we’re biased, but we love when Connecticut television affiliates hire Connecticut natives. NBC Connecticut’s newest reporter is Brynn Gingras who grew up in Wallingford. Brynn most recently worked at a Columbia, Missouri affiliate while getting her masters at Mizzou’s Journalism School (and we’re allowed to sound cutesy by calling it “Mizzou” because some Laurelites are alums). Brynn was an undergraduate at Yale where she was starter on the basketball team for four years. There’s a strong golf culture at NBC Connecticut and we’re sure that if she doesn’t play that sport already she’ll pick it up easily…
I watched Brynn this morning and I was very impressed. She will be a great addition to the NBC CT team.
I wonder if this means Debra Alfarone will finally have weekend mornings off!
Stop the tanning booth activity.
Brynn is a very bright young woman who will go far. She is bright and articulate and knows the state. She will be one to watch in this market, I know her and am very fond of her.
Congrats, Brynn you will soar here.
Golf culture?
Translation: Brooks, Monahan, Nesti (formerly), Maxon, Drazen….all count the days till the season starts (and travel south to play in the winter). Would never skip a newscast for a game, but if the course in question was nice enough..?
It’s irrelevent…who watches local news anymore. Most stories are fluff pieces now. Hard hitting journalism at WVIT..NOT!
The Yalesville-Wallingford Lions Club expects to host an Historical Walk in September. Brynn is from Wallingford, and we would be pleased if she could consider participating in this event. Proceeds will support Diabetes Awareness and community projects including finding scholarship(s).
