This weekend saw the arrival of a new meteorologist at WTNH. Erica Grow will appear on the weekend evening newscasts with anchors Sara Welch and Don Lark. Erica comes to Connecticut from the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, WPVI.

That is part of what is so stupid about local TV news these days anyway.
Few times I caught Sid Stark doing weather, I thought he was a used car salesman. Always wondered why “Storm Team 8” would use someone not a meteorologist w/Dr. Mel on staff…
I have no problem with a financial advisor reading a weather report. Geoff Fox wasn’t a meteorologist until WTNH paid for his schooling. Before he did that he was in radio.
I wouldn’t think Dr. Mel would want to just do the weekend evening when he does the weekdays noon cast.
