Closing out the week the way it began, we have a remembrance and appreciation of sportscaster Bob Neumeier from the Journal Inquirer’s Matt Buckler.
Neumeier died last weekend at age 70. He had been in hospice for several weeks, but chose to not go public with the news. He began his broadcasting career as a play-by-play man for the New England Whalers, transitioned to sports reporting for WFSB and eventually ended up at NBC Sports and in Boston at WBZ and WEEI.
