Hartford Courant columnist Kevin Rennie is reporting, on his own blog, that TV talker and Connecticut resident Larry Kudlow has decided against challenging Richard Blumenthal for the U.S. Senate this year.
Rennie posts the text of an email from Jack Fowler, the publisher of National Review as his source. Fowler’s email is addressed to Kudlow supporters in waiting.
Fair warning; there have been a few false reports over the last year on Kudlow’s possible candidacy, but this report seems pretty solid. It’s also not the first time Kudlow’s name has been floated as a trial balloon in Connecticut Republican circles only to be shot down like a lead zeppelin.
