Diane Smith will be anchoring the coverage and tossing between four live locations across the state. She’ll be joined on set by GOP former legislators Brian Flaherty and David Cappiello. The big race today is between Tom Foley and John McKinney for the Republican nomination for governor.
Among the reporters helping out are Mark Pazniokas and Keith Phaneuf of the Connecticut Mirror, Christine Stuart of CT News Junkie and Brian Lockhart and Jenna Carlesso. Former WTNH reporters Elizabeth McGuire and Christina DeFranco will also be in the field as the returns come in.
Some even bigger names will be working behind the scenes. Long time former WVIT anchor Joanne Nesti will be wrangling guests and helping to count votes. Joanne is Vice President of CTN’s board. Former WTNH news director (and Fox CT alum) Liz Grey Godbout will be field producing for DeFranco.
We love the idea of all these pros joining forces to deliver live coverage on Election Night.
