Former Connecticut reporter Matt Apuzzo worked over-time this weekend with a team from the New York Times on a story that has the Trump administration on defense.
The Times story confirms Donald Trump Jr. met with a Russian contact last year in the hope of gaining information that could be used against Hillary Clinton. Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner and former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, a New Britain native, were also in the meeting.
Apuzzo worked for the Associated Press in Connecticut before joining the Times where he specializes in investigative reporting.
