The dust up over an op-ed that ran recently in the Wesleyan Argus has not faded away.
Over the weekend the student Senate at Wesleyan considered a related funding resolution that could dramatically decrease funding for the school’s main student-run newspaper.
It all began when the paper published an op-ed questioning the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement. The campus controversy has the potential to make Wesleyan a focal point over the national debate about freedom of speech on college campuses.
