Tom Ashbrook, the long-time host of On-Point, has been placed on leave pending the results of an investigation into workplace harassment allegations. On-Point is produced at WBUR in Boston and is carried by nearly 300 NPR stations across the country, including WNPR in Connecticut.
At first, details of the allegations against Ashbrook were not known, but WBUR’s news team immediately began its own investigation and has published some of the details.
The claims being made against Ashbrook include harassment of a sexual nature and behavior that might be described as workplace bullying.
