As the week comes to a close, there’s a report that a special advisory committee is recommending Tribune Publishing shareholders approve a buyout offer from Alden Global Capital. This, as a Baltimore based businessman continues to express interest in the chain and has offered what could be a better deal. Tribune owns the Hartford Courant.
