Never content to use existing words, Entercom Communications has changed its name to Audacy.
The multi-platform communications company is best known in Connecticut for its ownership of radio stations; WTIC-AM/FM, WRCH, and Hot 93.7.
The CEO of the firm says the evolution of the company necessitated the re-branding:
“Audacy captures our dynamic creativity, outstanding content and innovative spirit as we aspire to build the country’s best audio content and entertainment platform,” said David Field, chairman, president and CEO.
