Long time Connecticut news people may remember Willie Blacklow as a press secretary to former congressman and gubernatorial candidate Toby Moffett(D).
Blacklow worked as a press secretary on Capitol Hill and at the Pentagon. He died last month of cancer, his family has announced.

Mr. Blacklow was a native Washingtonian. Early in his career, he was a news writer for then-ABC anchorman Howard K. Smith. From 1976 to 1993, he was a press secretary for politicians including Rep. Toby Moffett (D-Conn.), Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.) and Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.). Afterward, he was a trainer for the National Democratic Institute and an adjunct professor at George Washington University.
