Former UConn player and WNBA standout Sue Bird will be one of two flag-bearers for the U.S. team at the opening ceremonies of the Tokyo Olympics.
According to the Washington Post, “Bird called the honor “mind-blowing” after her teammate and fellow four-time gold medalist Diana Taurasi(UConn) made the announcement in practice earlier this week.”
