Former Hartford Courant staff writer Dwight Blint published an op-ed in his former paper this weekend trying to explain the appeal of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate.
Blint has additional perspective having served as the chairman of the New Britain Republican Town Committee after leaving journalism. Blint argues that Trump has tapped into the high anxieties of many middle class voters and he is meeting with even more success simply because no one else, from either party, is offering solutions that sound either better, or more realistic.
