Connecticut radio news veteran Bob Michaels died this past weekend at the age of 70. He had been fighting cancer.
Michaels was one of the original morning anchors when WPOP went all news in 1975 – a format that continued for roughly 25 years. Lee Gordon, a former colleague of Bob’s broke the news on Facebook:
