A judge has ruled an investor lawsuit against the Back 9 Network can continue.
Nearly a half dozen former and current officials of the golf lifestyle channel – that is no longer on the air – are named in the suit. The defendants tried to have the case dismissed on a variety of grounds but each of their motions failed to impress the judge in the case.
Back 9 has been controversial from the start partly because of the large public investment in the network made by the state of Connecticut and partly because of the on and off air antics of several personalities involved with the start up; most of whom are no longer with the company.
