We are sad to report that Hartford radio legend Brad Davis has died.
He was last on the air on WDRC-AM in January of 2020. His career began in Chicopee, Massachusetts, but started in Connecticut at WTIC(WFSB) television in 1959. He filled several roles as a broadcaster in Connecticut including hosting The Milk Show, which was a local variety/dance program, and also teamed up for a time – at channel 3 – as an investigative reporter with former NBC-CT newsman John Sablon.
Most of his time on air was spent hosting the morning show at WDRC. He was very active in the community, he was close to former Connecticut governors Bill O’Neill and John Rowland, but he was a bitter critic of former Governor Lowell Weicker.
A former U.S. Marine, he was as loyal as they come. If you were a friend, you were a friend to Brad forever no matter what. He died while in the care of the Connecticut Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill.
