The Manchester Journal Inquirer’s longtime TV & Radio writer Matt Buckler has been hospitalized with COVID. Matt is also an announcer at Stafford Speedway and the New London-Waterford Speedbowl. Wishing him a quick recovery.
This is a friend of Matt’s logging into his account as he dictates over the phone this message. He is currently at Manchester Memorial Hospital and does not have his phone or any way to reach anyone. This is what he would like to say:
I was diagnosed COVID-19 Monday afternoon. I hope I didn’t infect anyone at the Icebreaker on Saturday, if I did I am extremely sorry. I feel ok. I don’t have a fever. Hopefully this is just a temporary setback. I will be missing the Spring Sizzler, but hopefully I will see all my friends really soon. There is no need to worry. I actually feel pretty good right now.
