Democrats in Connecticut are facing an almost complete news media rebuke of the recently passed state budget and its higher taxes on the middle class and businesses.
It is rare for there to be such unanimity among the state’s editorial page and opinion writers.
Rarer still is the near silence from would be defenders of the spending and tax plan.
Only Tuesday – did a respected voice step forward to offer robust perspective from the other side. But it is a lonely voice carrying the volume of a squeak when placed side by side against the roar of the critics.
