Media owner Byron Allen is making clear he is interested in buying the Tegna chain of stations, which includes Fox 61 and CW20 in Connecticut, less than a month after a deal offered by Standard General failed while being considered by the FCC.
Allen has expressed interest in Tegna before and this time observers say he might have a better chance than Standard General or any of the other existing large station groups.
The news gives local Tegna employees a new possible change to worry about.
