Despite resistance from the broadcast industry, the nation’s top 50 media markets (which means Hartford/New Haven is included) are now required to make political ad sales available online. The new rule, set forth by the Federal Communications Commission “requires the affiliates of the four major networks–ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX– to post political files online, allowing anyone to view the amount candidate campaigns and outside groups are spending on political ads”.
Stations not in the top-50 market aren’t required to comply with this rule until 2014. More information can be found here.
I’m pretty sure Ct. stations are in the top 50 market.
LizI totally agree! This is such a pet peeve of mine! In fact I have pisrmoed myself to never say this to a new mom. I remember people would say to me enjoy it now, because it gets worse as they get older!!! What a horrible thing to say to a new mom, who is sleep deprived and overwhelmed.
