According to industry sources, Meredith Corp, which owns Channel 3 will buy the Springfield ABC and Fox affiliate station WGGB. Meredith Corp already owns the CBS affiliate station in Springfield, WSHM. The sale is expected to close by the end of the year. The station, currently owned by local company Gormally Broadcasting, is supposed to sell for 53.8 million.
