After 42 years in journalism, Paul Choiniere is stepping down as editorial page editor and opinion writer for The Day of New London.
Choiniere has been a calm, steady, fair-minded voice on the full range of issues facing Connecticut, since 2007 on the editorial page, and as a no-nonsense reporter in the years prior to that.
We suspected something was up when we noticed The Day advertising recently for a new editorial page editor. Choiniere broke his own story this weekend.
