In a long post this weekend on social media, former Fox 61 reporter Narmeen Choudhury explains why she left her job at WPIX in New York back in June. At the time, she resigned without public explanation. She said she needed time before talking about what happened.
In her post Choudhury says she was a victim of Islamophobia at the station, she reported it to management and management did nothing but to promise her she would not have to work directly with the man who made racist remarks toward her. The same man was later fired for posting a meme on social media against Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, but with backing from his union he got his job back.
