A discrete ad on the front page of CTMirror.org, announces that Bill Cibes, one of the founding board members of the Connecticut News Project, Inc., is stepping down.
Cibes has been with the Mirror since it began in 2009. During that time it has grown from a small group of reporters – many from the Hartford Courant – into an important website for daily coverage of state policy and politics.
Cibes has long been a fixture in Connecticut politics as a former professor with Connecticut College in New London, a member of the House of Representatives, former secretary of the Office of Policy and Management and chancellor of the Connecticut State University system.
