For all its idiosyncrasies, there is no doubt NPR is one of the most thoughtful and original news organizations operating in this country today.

Having said that…NPR thinks it can do better through more strategic collaboration with its member stations. WNPR’s John Dankosky has been working with his public radio colleagues on a task force to make that happen.

Scott Finn, the CEO of West Virginia Public Broadcasting(where former WNPR reporter Anna Sale got her start), writes about the process for CurrentFinn says the work of the task force is far from complete, but his article gives us a peek into some of the ways NPR is trying to evolve in the years ahead.
