One week after a petition drive was started to defund the Wesleyan Argus, the paper is still publishing and those who initiated the petition effort are being consistently criticized by free speech advocates and journalists.
The uproar began when a student wrote an op-ed questioning the motives of some members of the black lives matter movement.
