Former CTMirror.org publisher David Daley had an article in the Washington Post this weekend.
The South Windsor native argues Republicans have only themselves to blame when it comes to the rise of the Tea Party, or the Freedom Caucus, as its members in the U.S. House are known.
Before joining the Mirror Daley wrote a book on how GOP efforts to win a majority through re-districting has potentially guaranteed a GOP majority in Congress for years to come. In his Post article he argues the strategy also has its downsides for GOP leadership. Daley is now a senior fellow at FairVote.
