CNN media critic Oliver Darcy has left the network and has started his own – four day a week – newsletter about the news and entertainment industry called “Status.”
His departure was unexpected, but reliable sources say he was not pushed out, he simply has felt for some time that he might be able to provide a better product, on his own, without the pressures of writing from inside a large media company.
