Brian Shactman wanted to get out of the studio. Recently, the host of “Brian & Company” on WTIC Newstalk 1080 created an opportunity to explore the state, interact with his audience, and have fun.
He and his co-workers throw a dart at a large map to determine the municipalities they will visit on various Fridays. They make the whole day about that town, talking to businesses, artists, athletes, and political leaders.
WFSB took notice and for the last two weeks, Roger Susanin has joined Brian on-site for live hits.
Last week they were in Plymouth; other stops so far have been Farmington, Tolland, Cornwall and West Hartford.
The goal is to hit as many of the state’s 169 towns and cities as possible.
