Here are the major news updates from today:
- Today marked the first death in the state due to COVID19. The patient was a man in his 80s and was being treated at Danbury Hospital, according to the Governor’s office.
- Governor Lamont joined the governors of NY, NJ and PA to close all indoor portions of large retail shopping malls, amusement parks and bowling alleys starting Thursday at 8 p.m.
- First day of the full closure of Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun resort casinos.
- Access Health CT added a special enrollment period for those uninsured beginning tomorrow and going until April 2. Coverage begins April 1.
- Gov. Lamont again urged all Connecticut residents “to take an active role in doing their part to reduce the spread of this virus” at a press briefing today.
