Last week came word that FOX61 would host, live stream and broadcast a Hartford Mayoral debate. Today, the Hartford Courant and WTNH have announced they will hold one too.
The Hartford Democratic Primary is Tuesday, September 10.
The FOX61 debate will take place Thursday, August 29 at 7 pm and feature incumbent Mayor Luke Bronin, former mayor Eddie Perez, State Representative Brandon McGee, and J. Stan McCauley. It will be streamed live on the FOX61 Facebook page, fox61.com and on the FOX61 News App. Then it will be broadcast on FOX61 at 10:00 am Sunday, September 1 in a special one-hour edition of The Real Story and Real People with Stan Simpson, FOX61’s weekly public affairs and political programs.
A week later, the Hartford Courant and Channel 8 will host Bronin, McGee and Perez on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 p.m. This will be aired live on News Channel 8 and streamed live on www.WTNH.com. It will also be available on the Courant’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hartfordcourant. The WTNH debate will be moderated by anchor Ann Nyberg and the panel will include Hartford Courant city reporter Rebecca Lurye and WTNH’s George Colli.
